WRC: Rallye Monte Carlo, 19-22 January
With the return of Toyota after a 16-year absence and with new changes to the route, the World Rally Championship returns to Monte Carlo this week to test drivers to the max. Kicking off in Casino Square on Thursday, the Rally presents thrilling challenges across snow, ice and dry asphalt, including gruelling legs on Friday and Saturday, and takes in both the Alpes Maritimes mountains and the icy Col de Turini on Sunday. Red Bull Crashed Ice, Finland, 20- 21 January
In an action packed opening event, Red Bull Crashed Ice arrived with a bang in France last weekend. American skater and reigning champion Cameron Naasz took his seventh career victory there, while Canadian Jacqueline Legere enjoyed a comfortable win on the frozen track in the women's competition. This weekend, the daring skaters will face this season's only natural ice track, in the stunning region of Jyvaskyla, Finland. Watch it via Red Bull TV here.
Red Bull Defiance 2017, New Zealand, 21-22 January
The ultimate multisport race, Red Bull Defiance combines off road running, kayaking and mountain bike endurance disciplines, all with the creative element of undisclosed special stages. The challenging course test athletes in two-person teams over two days, racing alongside the world's best multisport and endurance athletes in Wanaka, New Zealand. It lands in NZ this weekend. Red Bull King of the Air, Cape Town South Africa, 21 January – 5 February
This week, Cape Town will once again host some of the world's most awesome kiteboarders as they battle it out to see who rules the sky above one of the finest kiting beaches in the world. Spectators can expect to see some seriously big air as the competitors push the limits of altitude and flight distance in high winds.
