Max took a battling second place at the Portuguese Grand Prix but was denied an extra point after his fastest lap on the final lap of the race was deleted for exceeding track limits. Sergio meanwhile took P4 after putting in a marathon first stint on medium tyres.

Portimão is one of the newer circuits on the 2021 Formula One calendar, and we mean ‘new’ in two senses of the word. This year will only be its second appearance and it was only built in 2008.
So, ahead of the Portuguese Grand Prix we wanted to give you more insight into the Portuguese circuit than just numbers, so we sat down with Red Bull Racing Honda’s Test and Reserve Driver Alex Albon, to point out not only where the race can be won or lost, but also where the most fun will be had on the circuit and the most crucial corners.
