Free Practice Update - British Grand Prix 2021We're at Silverstone for a new look Grand Prix weekend.

In 2020 we raced here twice in the British Grand Prix and the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix, the latter seeing Max pick up the win and his first of that season.
This weekend we'll see a new format of F1, with the introduction of Saturday's F1 Sprint, which will be a short and fast-paced race over 100km, approximately 17 laps of Silverstone. The main race on Sunday will be 52 laps long and giving a race distance of 306.198km.
We'll only see two practice sessions this weekend, Free Practice One, taking place on Friday afternoon, and Free Practice Two, which will be on Saturday afternoon.
With fans watching on, we got the weekend underway with FP1. Max had a strong session finishing in P1, with a best time of 1:27.035. The Dutchman completed 23 laps. Checo ended practice in P8, with his fastest time a 1:28.163. He managed a total of 25 laps.
Saturday's midday FP2 session, lasting an hour, saw Max continue his practice form by topping the timesheets. The Dutchman posted a fastest lap time of 1:29.902, with a total of 23 laps. Checo ended his session in P5, with a best time of 1:30.800. He completed 27 laps of the Silverstone circuit.
