MaxbecameaWorldChampion
Max has been on fire since we were last in Canada. As you can probably remember, he was crowned World Champion at the end of the 2021 season. But to collect that, he had to have had a lot of success, and he did. Since Canada 2019, Max has collected 19 more wins and 41 podiums. He’s also claimed 13 fastest laps, four hat-tricks and two grand slams. Trust us, we think he’s a bit good.

We’vegotanewdriver
At the Canadian Grand Prix in 2019, we had Max and Pierre Gasly driving for the Team. At the halfway point of that season, it was seen that to maximise the opportunities in races that Pierre would return to Toro Rosso and Alex Albon moved into the Team.
Alex was with the Team for the remainder of the 2019 season, and had secured his seat for the 2020 season as well. At the end of that season, the Team brought in Sergio Pérez and he has done enough to secure his seat until the end of the 2024 season. Since joining Oracle Red Bull Racing, Checo has claimed two wins, ten podiums and four fastest laps.
When we return to Canada, Pierre and Alex will be racing against us. The former for AlphaTauri and the latter for Williams, just showing the quality of the Red bull Junior Team programme.

Wehaveourownengines
Back in 2019 we were powered by Honda engines, but it announced after three seasons together that Honda were going to pull out of Formula one. This gave Oracle Red Bull Racing a choice, choose another manufacturer. Being the innovative organisation we are, it was deemed to start Red Bull Power Trains.
This process is still ongoing. 2022 is the first year we have our own engines in the car, but we’re still working with Honda to ensure we can produce race-winning engines, which the Team is certainly doing!

Thecarshavecompletelychanged
For the start of this year the car regulations completely changed. The design changes were to create similar levels of downforce that makes F1 so cool to watch but cleaning up the ‘dirty air’ the cars produced, allowing drivers to follow each other better and enable more overtaking.
The changes seem to be working well this season, and with the long back straight at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, we expect a very exciting Canadian Grand Prix.
What we are hoping will change this year is Max and Checo collecting a hatful of points. Both Bulls have only finished on the podium once at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Max claimed third in 2018 an Checo finished in P3 back in 2012. And with how they are driving – you wouldn’t bet against them walking away with silverware.
You can follow the Team at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve all weekend in our , starting with Free Practice One at 14:00 local time (19:00BST).
