Mix some of F1's most iconic corners with new cars, track resurfacing unpredictability and an atmosphere unlike any other and you have a recipe for racing perfection - that's right, it's time for the always amazing Japanese Grand Prix.
Round 3 and we’re back to one of our happiest hunting grounds – Suzuka, home of the Japanese Grand Prix. Built more than 60 years ago, Suzuka is one of F1’s truly classic tracks and boasts some of the most thrilling corners and complexes in the sport. Just think: the Esses, Degner 1 and 2, Spoon, 130R – names that drip with heritage and racing romance. And we’ve written a good chunk of that heritage. All in all, we’ve won this race eight times and collected three championship titles at Suzuka, so it holds plenty of good memories. This year is a bit more of an unknown quantity as we take F1’s new, lighter and smaller cars to the fast, flowing but narrow and technically demanding track, but that unpredictability just adds to what is always one of the sport’s favourite weekends.
