Test and Reserve Driver will return to the driver’s seat for round two of the 2021 F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix and his teammate for the race will be Red Bull Junior driver Liam Lawson.
The 2021 Virtual Grand Prix Championship sees all 10 F1 teams competing for charity with a $100,000 prize pool. The chosen charity for Red Bull Racing is Wings For Life, the spinal cord research foundation of which Alex is ambassador for, so it’s a project close to his heart.
18-year-old Liam is from New Zealand and part of the Red Bull Junior Team. In 2020 Liam drove in Formula 3 and this year will be stepping up to Formula 2, he will also be Alex’s teammate in the following an announcement earlier this week.

Both Alex and Liam have plenty of experience competing in the Virtual GPs. At Alex drove a spectacular race, starting at the back of the grid and fighting his way up to P4. Liam also competed for sister team AlphaTauri at the Chinese Virtual GP last year and finished P8, so it’s a strong team for round two.
After the season opener, which was at the Red Bull Ring, the Bulls are sitting P4 in the standings, but with this line-up there should be no reason that the Team can’t catapult their way up the leaderboard.
will be held at Silverstone, so a home track for the Bulls. The race is taking place this Sunday, 07 February at 18:00 GMT and can be found across all streaming services including Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.
