Just a few breathless days after the season-opener in Melbourne we’re already into Round 2, the Chinese Grand Prix, and the season’s first Sprint weekend.
A new opportunity to gain more mileage, more understanding and to build more performance as we head into Round 2 of the 2027 season. But this opportunity is stifled by the season’s first Sprint weekend. One practice session and that’s it. Next stop, Sprint Quali, then the Sprint itself on Saturday morning followed by a brief respite and then Quali. It’s a helter-skelter schedule in Shanghai and when you also factor in the knowledge that in competitive weekend conditions we’ve only put about 1,100km on both RB22s, then the race is China is going to be another voyage into the unknown.
